*** gushing about anime
... just let me : P ***
I received an email
from a fan the other day -- I'm always excited to receive those. Pathetic
me, I have them all tucked away in a separate folder in Outlook. Whenever
this place gets me down I click them open to cheer myself up, and then
go to work on another skin. Anyways, this one contained a link to a friend's
fanart site, which is definitely worth checking out (see links section,
"Lost Angels"). In her journal section she mentioned that Weiss
Kreuz Gluhen was going to be coming out in Japan this year. I did some
research, and it's true! Here's the link to the Marine Entertainment site
(use Altavista to translate it if you can't read Japanese like me ^_^;;)
http://www.marine-e.co.jp/marine-frame.htm. Here are some concept sketches
from the site (Aya, Yohji, Ken, Omi). Note: Aya has long hair.
When I first started
put this site up, a guy in my company asked why I had a German name for
a Japanese animation site, and if I even knew what it meant. I replied,
"I was inspired by a anime series with a German name (Weiss Kreuz),
it means Night Angel. Which is partially true, I created the alias while
on my Weiss Kreuz kick for the character on the home page. I got the idea
for the name for a song my friend Paul had yuk year, Engel der Nacht.

I really like my classes
so far, excluding the 2 environmental engineering classes and 1 DPE (department
of physical education) classes. My other classes include English, PL300
(a sort of military leadership, psychology, sociology mix), Marriage and
the Family (I love to say this one just to watch people's jaws drop),
and intro to sociology.

Ah, the dramas of cadet
girl life. If I had the patience to write really girly type stories I
could make a whole series, but as it is, I prefer the action/romance type.
I don't feel it would be right to share what happens to people I know
on the internet though, so I won't unless I know its ok for sure.
I bought a used version
of Pearl Harbor off Amazon (which still hasn't gotten here yet). I didn't
think that it was that great of a movie and will probably watch only the
first half. My roommate has sworn never to watch it because it is a war
movie. So, as I tried to explain to her my rationale for buying it, I
found myself telling her that its sort of like a real person version of
those cartoons I watch. I apologize to all anime fans for referring to
them as cartoons but, its the easiest way to make my roommie understand.
